The 3am sanity support person you didn’t know existed

So a postpartum doula is a calm, experienced extra pair of hands whose whole job is to take care of you after the baby is born.

They’re not there to deliver the baby, they come in after and help during those first fuzzy weeks. They’ll:

  • Help you figure out feeding (breast, bottle, combo, with no judgment)

  • Show you how to swaddle, soothe, bathe your baby

  • Care for your baby so you can shower or nap

  • Normalize all the “is this even normal???” questions

  • Keep an eye out for signs of baby blues or postpartum depression

  • Sometimes do light tasks like folding baby laundry or tidying up

It’s less medical and more emotional, practical support. Think: someone who’s been through it a million times and can say “you’re not crazy, this is normal” at 3am.

Why hire a doula?

Postpartum doulas are trained professionals who provide non-medical support to families after childbirth-including emotional support, infant care guidance, breastfeeding assistance, and help navigating the transition to parenthood.

A growing body of research shows measurable benefits for maternal health, infant care, and overall family well-being.

Baby items including a white onesie with 'haven.' printed on it, a baby bottle, two pacifiers, a brown plush toy, and beige towels or blankets with the word 'haven.' embroidered, arranged on a light-colored fabric surface.

Evidence Based Benefits:

● Lower rates of postpartum mood disorders

Studies show risks of postpartum depression and anxiety were reduced by more than 50%

● Improved breastfeeding success and outcomes

Clients report doulas provide important education, practical assistance, and encouragement that help sustain breastfeeding goals

● Greater parental confidence and preparedness

Doula support fosters confidence in infant care, maternal self-esteem, and decision-making ability through evidence-based education and personalized coaching

  • The postpartum doula’s role is to support everyone in the family, including both parents, siblings, baby and even pets! Unlike a baby nurse, whose sole focus is the new baby, the doula is there to support everyone throughout the postpartum period. Baby nurses, or night nurses often don’t have the scheduling flexibility of doulas and require a strict schedule to be booked.

  • Each contract is personalized to each family. We provide care for a family anywhere from a few days up to 12 weeks after bringing home a new baby. Families may have our support 1-3 days a week or as many as 5 days a week. We often become “part of the family” and keep in touch with our families for years to come.

  • Postpartum doulas do not “sleep train” or use any “cry it out” methods. However, we are experienced, baby sleep experts and most babies sleep longer and better due to our consistent support. We will guide you to find appropriate routines and methods to fit your family’s needs, and support you in your choices.

  • Even with family nearby, a postpartum doula offers something much different. Family brings love and connection; a doula brings trained, unbiased, consistent support focused entirely on your recovery and wellbeing. Many families choose both — allowing loved ones to enjoy their role, while a doula provides steady, evidence-based, professional care during this vulnerable transition.

  • A postpartum doula is practical support during a high-stress transition. They help with nights, recovery, feeding, and decision-making so neither parent is stretched too thin. Many partners find that having a doula reduces pressure, improves sleep, and helps the household run more smoothly — especially in the early weeks.

Having a trained, neutral professional can prevent disagreements or stress caused by conflicting advice from family, friends, or the internet.

  • A postpartum doula is a short-term, high-impact investment. Even limited support can reduce exhaustion, prevent overwhelm, and make the early weeks more manageable. Many families choose a few strategic shifts to get the greatest benefit without overextending financially.

We’re always happy to talk through options and help families decide what level of support feels realistic and helpful — no obligation.

What Families Are Saying

  • We are so grateful for Jaclyn and the incredible support she provided during the very fragile newborn phase. From the first night, she brought such calm, steady reassurance into our home. Her gentle approach with our baby, paired with her deep knowledge of newborn care, helped us feel confident and supported during a time that can feel overwhelming. Jaclyn anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, cared for our baby with genuine tenderness, and made sure we were able to rest—something truly invaluable in those early weeks. She communicated beautifully, respected our preferences, and always made us feel cared for as new parents. Having Jaclyn as our postpartum doula made a world of difference for our family. We can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for compassionate, skilled, and heartfelt support during the newborn phase.

  • Danielle was such a delight to have as a postpartum doula! She’s very outgoing and is someone you feel like you’ve known for much longer than a handful of 4-hour sessions. I loved the days that Danielle visited because I was able to get things done around the house while she helped with baby, folded laundry, or prep food. It was also helpful to have someone to bounce ideas off of when it came to nursing and infant nap/sleep struggles. Our toddler also loved when Danielle visited - she warmed up to Danielle immediately and wanted to play all day!

    — Rachel, Mesa, AZ

  • There truly are no words to express the gratitude I have for Danielle. She helped us through some incredibly tough newborn nights, and was an absolute light during what felt like a foggy, overwhelming time. Her vast knowledge and experience with infants was only matched by her warmth and care. She constantly checked in, answered every single question (and I had many), and made me feel so seen and supported. I was unsure how I would feel leaving my baby in the hands of someone else at night but with Danielle, it felt like handing my child to instant family. I’m forever grateful for her. My baby is now 3 months old, and while we deeply miss Danielle and our nights with her, she gave us the greatest gift a parent could ask for, a baby who sleeps through the night!! I genuinely think I’d still be waking up every 2–3 hours without her help.

    — Taylor, Gilbert, AZ

  • Danielle is incredible! She was our postpartum doula and I cannot express my gratitude enough for such a wonderful experience. Danielle fit seamlessly into our home. She made us feel cared for, comfortable, and she seemed genuinely happy to be there. I cannot imagine what I would have done without her. Thank you Danielle!

    —Chessa, Gilbert, AZ

  • Danielle was our doula for over 5 months. In the early days, she helped prepare food, fold laundry, get my adorable but clingy baby to sleep in his bed. Over time, she spent countless nights sleeping in the bed next to him, coaching my husband and I on solving toddler/baby “problems,” and truly became the family we needed. Our 2.5 year old boy often will recite his family to us. “Mom and dad and grandma and Roman and Danielle. The whole family!” Trusting someone with your kids and in your home is HUGE and Danielle couldn’t have been a better fit for all of us.

    —Justine, Mesa, AZ

  • Danielle was the most amazing Doula. She helped our son sleep through the night in very short order. She was always available to answer our questions and be a pillar of support for our family. This was our second child and completely changed the postpartum period for my wife and our family.

    —Ben and Gabrielle, Phoenix, AZ

  • Danielle was my overnight post-partum doula and she is fantastic! She is kind and warm. She taught us so much about baby sleep, including how to encourage my son to sleep for longer stretches overnight. Danielle is good at listening to your concerns, giving suggestions, and never pushes you to do what you don’t want to. She has been a great resource on baby well-being and breastfeeding, too. I highly recommend her and this service!

    —Louise, Gilbert, AZ

  • As I prepared for my second child I knew I wanted some help postpartum and I came across Danielle. From our first FaceTime I knew we would get along! Danielle was one of the best things during postpartum. Her presence in our home just felt right! She was so helpful and someone I could go to to talk about anything. She was so knowledgeable and anytime I needed her even if she wasn’t here I could always reach out and she was there to help. She will be in our families lives for a very long time! If I could give 12/10 I would. Can’t recommend her enough, if you need a postpartum angel, she’s your gal!!

    —Shelby, Mesa, AZ

  • Danielle is incredible and has taken such great care of my newborn and me through our new experience together. She’s kind, patient, flexible, gentle and has the best advice, suggestions and recommendations. We highly recommend her

    —Kristyn, Scottsdale, AZ

  • Have you ever just wanted help EXACTLY how you wanted it post partum? Have you felt like your family members do the best they can but you feel bad having specific needs for them to try and meet? Have you ever just wanted another YOU in the room to get stuff done post partum and also someone to take care of YOU? Danielle, their post partum doula, was EXACTLY that. This was my fourth birth and I had no idea this existed before now and man I wish I had Danielle for EVERY post partum I've had. She arrived twice a week with the biggest smile on her face ready to tackle whatever it might've been for the day. Some days she would come and I would have a list of things for her to do and other days she'd just walk in and knew I needed support with my kids so I could have a moment to myself. I had my mother but it was a lot for her to take care of all the kids and me so it was so nice having another person to share the responsibilities with for her as well. I absolutely loved how customizable this was for us. We bonded while making meals together, helping me cope with some big emotions after birth but also with some big life decisions we had made. we laughed, we cried, we had moments I'll always remember. My kids instantly connected with her and were calling her aunt after the second visit she had with us. My husband was a little skeptical of this but I convinced him and by the end he was wishing we could've had her longer!!! I shared Danielle with my dental hygienist who's pregnant, all the moms at gymnastics, and all the moms at church. We love you Danielle, and are so grateful to have had your help during such a big adjustment time in our lives.

    —Arianna, Queen Creek, AZ

  • I was paired with Danielle and she was exactly what I needed postpartum. She was flexible with me when I needed more support or just a friend to talk to about the world outside the newborn bubble. She was willing to help me with all the new tools, gear and giving me much needed breaks while recovering. Everyone I spoke to throughout the process was kind, responsive and thoughtful.

    —Kayleigh, Gold Canyon, AZ

  • Do not hesitate to book a doula! Danielle was my postpartum doula for my second baby. It was so helpful to have someone like her there that was knowledgeable in all things newborn and postpartum. I instantly felt comfortable having her take care of my newborn. My 4 year old adored her as well!

    —Jaime, Gilbert, AZ

  • Danielle and Jaclyn were my postpartum team and quite literally saved us when we were in the trenches, making sure we ate, healed, and helped us with our colicky babe. We couldn’t have done it without them!

    Casie, Gilbert, AZ

  • I just can't say enough good things about Danielle! She's so knowledgable and easy to get to know and confident with the baby. I felt so at ease every time she came over. I hope I get to use her again in the future.
