How to Add Our Postpartum Services to Your Babylist Registry
Preparing for a new baby is about more than stocking up on diapers and onesies. Postpartum support can be one of the most meaningful gifts a family receives.
If you'd like friends and family to be able to gift you our postpartum services through your Babylist registry, follow the steps below.
Option 1: Add Our Service as a Custom Gift or Service
This is the best option if you want loved ones to gift you a specific postpartum service, such as postpartum support, meal assistance, overnight care, newborn support, lactation support, or another service we provide.
Step 1: Log in to Babylist
Go to your Babylist registry and make sure you're logged into the account connected to your baby registry.
Step 2: Add a Help & Favors Item
Babylist allows registrants to add custom gifts and services to their registry through its Help & Favors feature. Babylist specifically describes this feature as a way to request nontraditional gifts and services.
On the Babylist website:
Open your registry.
Select + Add Items.
Look for the Babylist options and select Help & Favors.
Choose a relevant service/coupon option, or use a blank/custom option if available.
Add it to your registry.
On the Babylist app, Babylist's current instructions direct users to the Shop section and then Gift Cards, Favors and More to find these options.
Step 3: Customize the Item
Change the title so your family and friends immediately understand what they're gifting.
Suggested title:
Postpartum Support Package from Haven
You can also create individual registry items for different services, such as:
Postpartum In-Home Support — [X] Hours
Newborn Care & Parent Support — [X] Hours
Overnight Postpartum Support
Postpartum Meal & Household Support
Postpartum Recovery Support Package
Step 4: Add Our Information to the Note
This is the most important part. Babylist recommends adding a detailed note to custom services so gift-givers understand exactly how to provide the gift and how to contact the service provider.
Copy-and-paste template:
We would love to receive postpartum support from Haven Postpartum as we prepare for our baby's arrival. This gift can be used toward physical and mental health check-ins, feeding support, daytime or overnight newborn care, etc.

Step 5: Choose the Quantity
If you want multiple family members to be able to contribute the same type of service, Babylist says you can leave the quantity blank on certain custom Help & Favors items so the item remains available for additional people to give.
This can be especially useful if your postpartum services are offered in individual hours, visits, or packages.
Option 2: Add Our Website Directly to Babylist
Babylist is a universal registry, meaning registrants can add items from other stores and websites to their registry.
Here's how:
Visit our website: www.havenpostpartum.com
Find the postpartum service or package you'd like to add and go to the gift card tab.
Copy the URL for that service.
Return to your Babylist registry.
Select + Add Items.
Add the service using the website link or Babylist's browser extension/button.
Review the title, photo, description and price.
Save the item to your registry.
Babylist's current help center explains that items can be added from websites using the Babylist Button/browser extension, or through + Add Items in the Babylist app.
Option 3: Create a Postpartum Cash Fund
If you'd prefer for loved ones to contribute toward a postpartum service rather than purchase a specific package, a Babylist Cash Fund may be the easiest option.
Babylist currently offers cash funds specifically for expenses such as postpartum support, doulas and parental leave.
To add a Cash Fund:
From your Babylist registry's Home page on desktop, select Add a Cash Fund.
Alternatively, select + Add Items > Babylist > Cash Funds.
Choose a cash-fund template.
Customize the title and description.
Add a note explaining that contributions will help pay for Haven’s postpartum services.
Select the available payment method(s), such as Venmo or PayPal.
Save the fund to your registry.

Suggested description:
Help us prepare for a supported postpartum experience! Contributions to this fund will go toward postpartum services from Haven, including physical and mental health check-ins, daytime and overnight newborn support, feeding guidance and a focus on rest and recovery. We are so grateful for your generosity and for helping us prioritize rest, recovery and support after our baby arrives.
Which Option Should We Use?
Choose a Custom Gift/Service if you want someone to purchase a specific service, package or number of hours.
Choose a direct website link if guests can purchase your postpartum service online.
Choose a Cash Fund if you'd like guests to contribute any amount toward the cost of your services.
Babylist itself recommends cash funds for expenses such as postpartum support and notes that Help & Favors can be used for services that aren't traditional registry items.
Don't Forget to Tell Your Guests What Their Gift Provides
Postpartum services may be unfamiliar to friends and family who have never gifted this type of support before. A clear registry description can make it easier for loved ones to understand the value of what they're giving.
